our office, we practice the highest standard of infection control possible.
Dr. Hopgood (as well as all team members working in the mouth) wear gloves
(latex or vinyl), masks, eye protection, protective overcoats, etc. For
our safety as well as yours, much of what we use here is disposable (patient
bibs, cups, headrest covers, light covers, needles, scalpel blades, etc.)
gloves are changed periodically through procedures and are changed in
between each and every patient. We heat sterilize all hand pieces, mirrors,
cavitron tips, syringes, etc. through our autoclave. All surfaces (chairs,
drawer handles, countertops, x-ray units, etc.) are cleaned with a powerful
disinfectant that kills all strains of germs and bacteria and any item(s)
containing blood or saliva are disposed in labeled sharp containers and
bio-hazard waste baskets. If you have any questions regarding our infection

your safety as well as our own.
