How to Prepare for Your Upcoming Appointment
We’re
happy that you’ve taken the plunge and called us for your dental appointment.
Whether it is a long overdue visit, or a routine cleaning and oral cancer
screening, there are a few things you can do to make the process go more
smoothly. First, please have all medications (names and doses) that you
are taking listed (or memorized) and ready to give to Dr. Hopgood and/or
the hygienist. Please present any new insurance information to the receptionist
at the time of check in. If there is any question if your insurance information
is accepted by our office, please feel free to call. If a new health history
and HIPAA privacy form have been mailed to you in advance, please have
them filled out, ready, and with you at the time of your appointment.
Come to your appointment prepared with any questions that you have for
the doctor and/or hygienist and if you are experiencing discomfort please
note which foods (sweet, sour, bitter, etc.) and temperatures (hot, cold)
affect the particular tooth and/or area the most. Finally, please arrive
on time as your entire scheduled appointment time is needed for your procedure
as your tardiness inconveniences all other patients after you.
